What is soulful living?
Soulful Living is a women's only club centered on whole health healing and living. Beginning in Spring 2023, membership will open up three times a year with options for purchasing semester or annual passes.
Three times a year, members practice aligning their daily actions to the rhythm of balance and abiding peace by being guided through the key 10 habits and spiritual values of the time-tested ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.
Building and maintaining the foundation for soulful living takes practice. Repetition is the name of the game, as well as a penchant for laughter and not taking it all so seriously, including yourself! At the core of the club and all that practicing is first and foremost soulful living as a way of life that is within everyone's reach, even the busiest of ladies. Soulful living is all about...

Heeding the inner call to release well-worn identities, and the habits that go with them, and rebuild a fuller, more authentic expression of self isn't for the faint of heart.
Sometimes fear takes over and rationalizes that the potential experience before you isn't right due to the financial and/or time investment. Your longing for change is at odds with your desire to stay comfortable where you are. You resist change, even when change is what you know deep down needs to transpire in order to invite more ease and contentment into your being. When discerning how, when, and why to invest in yourself, here are a few things to consider. Self-Worth and Growing Your Want Muscle: When you know what you want and then get wishy-washy about the ticket price that comes with it, you may be bumping up against self-worth. The literal object or opportunity associated with the ticket price is often not what the underlining doubt is about, though it may appear otherwise. It's not the real prize of the money exchange. The real prize is always whom you are going to become by virtue of undergoing a transformational experience. Are you worthy of more--more fulfillment, ease, the ability to be weatherproof to life's ups and downs, pleasure, love, inner stability, and resiliency? Of course! Have you ever regretted getting creative and finding a way to go for what really lights you up for more than a quick minute and steers you in the direction of evolutionary growth? Not likely! The cost is worth it. You are worth it. Dig deep and get clear on why you want what you want. Then, do what you need to do to take aligned action. This is how you grow, always and without fail. Spending vs. Investing Spending is what you do day-to-day, often without thinking. While you spend money on necessities to keep yourself clothed, fed, and a roof over your head, you also most likely spend on momentary, fleeting experiences that don't leave you deeply contented within yourself. This is what mainstream culture wants. It wants you to keep searching and searching for the next thing to take away the discomfort be it boredom or fear of being alone with yourself for longer than a few minutes. Investing in yourself, on the other hand, is all about aligning to the potential of the next best version of yourself. Investing is about knowing that seeds must be nurtured now to bear fruit in the long term. Investing operates not from culture's value of surface level thrills that keep you undernourished as part of a larger scarcity thinking framework. It functions on the larger narrative that has been true throughout history: money comes and goes. Sometimes you have more, sometimes less, and it always replenishes itself. There's not an actual shortage in circulation. Health and Well-Being In 2020, it's estimated that Americans spent on average $12,500 on healthcare. That's staggering and doesn't include what they spent on supplements and other out-of-pocket related health expenses! While you may not have spent that much on your healthcare, the financial amount in feeling less than optimal is not the only factor to consider. You trade your time and energy, two precious commodities that cannot be retrieved once gone. The cycle usually goes something like this. No matter what the source, stress leads to poor decision making (aka greater imbalance). It hurts your physical, mental, and psycho-emotional health, perpetuating more poor decisions. In the process, it lowers your quality of life and keeps you headed down a path of disconnect from your true nature. The the true nature of reality (and you!) is the opposite of all that struggle and dis-ease. It's time to choose wisely. Take more aligned action. Express your essential wealth and wholeness. How is the club trauma-sensitive?
Soulful Living honors how you are hardwired. On a subtle energy level, you're hardwired for bliss, yes bliss!
The truth of who you are is not that which changes like the weather day after day or season after season. Your true soul self is what witnesses all these fluctuations of the body, mind, and emotions. Biologically, you're designed to go into states of fight, flight, or freeze to keep you safe AND to come out of them sooner vs. later, returning to a state of balance or bliss (aka being a regular ol' human being with a healthy ego who knows who she is and isn't). The byproduct and challenge of modern living is that more and more people have habituated being in a sympathetic nervous system state of activation (fight, flight, or freeze) long after perceived threats have passed. It's not that the opposite alone is preferable for the long term. The parasympathetic nervous system state of deactivation or rest-digest-ease is not where you or anyone else needs to aim for staying all the time. A regulated nervous system is balance between the the two states of activation and deactivation. Soulful Living club programming revolves around the daily and seasonal rhythms of Mama Nature plus the uniqueness of how you are made. It helps you practice and strengthen moving between the two nervous system states by giving you the tools and support to align with the circadian rhythm of nature. In doing so, it takes into consideration how your particular constitution functions in the season of life in which you inhabit. By creating an inner and outer environment that is dynamic and supports the two systems working together, you naturally begin to unclog the channels within the body and mind that are perpetuating all that activation and blocking deeper access to your soul self. Through repetition, guidance, and support, you learn to integrate the different parts of yourself and pulse between the energies of yin and yang, hunger and satiation, longing and fulfillment. |

"I came to the Soulful Living
burnt out and stressed on the inside and out. The time spent cooking new foods, meeting and sharing meaningful insights with new friends and old, and taking the time for ME was an invaluable time...The program engages your body, mind and soul at all levels so you can walk away from the course and feel a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and energy. I look forward to participating again!" (Allison Milanowski) |
