It's easy to forget that “Christ is not Jesus’ last name.” (Cynthia Bourgeault) The Greek word Chrīstós means “the anointed one.” As women (not only as Christians!), we are called to claim our status as “the anointed one” by God and live daily from this truth. 

When we learn to work with our ego rather than ignoring or trying to annihilate it, embodying Christ consciousness becomes accessible within the beautiful messiness of our thoughts, feelings, speech, and decisions. 

In this workshop, Mary Magdalene will be our guide for how to activate our Christ consciousness via working with the seven powers of the ego as outlined in The Gospel of Mary. 

As we explore how to anoint the Divine in us, we also will draw upon compassionate self-inquiry, pairs exercises, and somatic practices and rituals from Ayurveda, yoga, and the perennial tradition. In doing so, we will strengthen our inner stability to better be with the uncertainty of our times.
